Do you use the parameter "-ns" for no sound? If yes, remove it and see if it works properly now.

still doesnt work i just see black screen and when i press windows button i see this error

All right. Have you installed Diablo 2 + LoD with the CD version of the game? If yes, an installation with the online version often helps: How To Legally Download And Play D2 Wout Cds.

i have pure d2 from cds and lod from batlenet site

I see one more possible solution:

• Completely deinstall Diablo 2 + LoD and download/install both D2 Classic and LoD with online versions

(a mix of CD and online version might not be good)

have you tried made the video test then just change to the other option?

video test can be find in ur d2 folder

So, there is a last thing I read about which helped many users with that problem:

Go to: Control Panel -> System -> Remote Settings (on the left) -> Advanced Tab -> click the Settings button @ Performance box -> Advanced Tab -> Change button -> Now make a screenshot of the window which just popped up
It should look like this: (make a screen of the window to the right)
