Well this game came up on steam and im bored of other MMO's i was playing and unimpressed with D3.

So a few questions before i get time invested.

What server is most of jsp on?

Is this one of those games where "pay real money = better than everyone"?

Good class for beginners?

Does this game still have a big enough player base to be worth new people playing (I.E. am i gonna be the only low level i run into)?

guess that's all for now i appreciate all input and opinions.

i recomend Kyber for servers. seems to bee a good amount of players and a lot of jsper's

recommended beginners classes:

rouge
wizard
sorc
cleric

Do some reading on the ddo wiki before you play. get an idea of what you want.

Khyber i guess. I am on Ghallanda.

No. Gears you can buy from DDO shop is crap. NEVER buy ddo shop gears.
If you are going to pay for anything, buy bundled packs during christmas (they often have pack sales during XMas)

Good class for beginners?
You need to know where traps are as a rogue so it's not a good beginner class.
Human Pale Master Wizard is kinda good for beginner because of its self healing power but it's BAD for beginners when you are 20.
You need good DCs and spell penetration to instant kill mobs like all other wizards.
A newbie fighter is never gonna kill anything.
Fighters only shine if you know what feat to get and have good gears.

With no twink/gears a healbot cleric is actually your best bet. Although most vet players claim a healbot cleric is a waste of party spot, MOST parties welcome and LOVE healbots.
You can sit back and observe(and learn) and throw some heals here and there. Basically the same even at lv20.
You dun have to worry about gears, DCs, spell penetrations, AC etc etc etc.

Does this game still have a big enough player base to be worth new people playing (I.E. am i gonna be the only low level i run into)?
Yes. Vet players TRs back into level1 so low level contents are still often run through.

i would agree with this statement but sorc unless you pay for warforged race is pointless and not a good first toon but slightly disagree about the ftr with ddo forums ddo wiki he could build a decent 28pt or 32pt ftr if he reads stuff but mostly agree

but pay more money get pay2play packs = better gear also

Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) the MMORPG can be quite fun, did have it’s share of bugs in the beginning but has managed to mature nicely with the hard work Turbine has done on it.
