I decided to re-post this bc of more threads poping up about ddo lately. and the last post got spamed up.

Please no offers for trades in the thread, this is for the soul purpose of those who have been playing DDO for a while to answer any questions some of the newer players might have involving the game.
I am sure many have seen my thread offering items and plat for sale and start up assistance oh khyber. But that is not the purpose of this new thread.

I personally have several characters a lvl 20 cleric, 17 barbarian , 16 bard, 7 favored soul, 7 pally/fighter, 8 barbarian/rouge. and other lower level toons.

Any questions are acceptable here, be it build assistance, or in game trade advice, or questions about questing and level up.

I am fairly knowledgeable, but if i don't know something i will admit to that point and search to find you an answer.

I also encourage all veteran players to post as well that way the members of our jsp community can look up to us for the advice they need, instead of blindly wading through a game of noobs (intent only on disruption of the game).

k a few questions sry for my bad english

is it worth playing my 28 stats character to lvl 20 ?
should i use tomes to improve my 28 points character ?
how many favor am i needing to unlock 32 point build ?
is rerolling usefull for me to get more stats or something else ?
wich adventure packs should i buy ... ? i have this adventure packs on my list shroud gianthold necropolis 4 and last adventure pack deleras
i allready bought shroud and have 870 turbine points left ...

yes my lvl 20 was origonaly 28 pt build. you can buy 32pt buld out right with points. up to you. it takes 1700 favor to get 32 pt on that server when u buy it it unlocks all servers.
yes tomes are a must, as you get them use one that are good for your charicter, ie: dont use a str tome if you dont use str or need str. trade it for ones u need.
re-rolling or reincarnation wont be usfull till way late in the game. after lvl 20.
buy adventure packs as the go on sale, none are more important that others, but do pay attention to lfm posts to see what people run more offten that should be a clue.

ok i just started playin.. and idk wtf im doin. i see all this stat stuff. can you increase these per level like in diablo? or does it go by level? i have millions of questions..

most of your questions are answered by the tutorial.

as far as stats you get 1 stat point every 4 levels. different races get different bonus stats. usually at a penalty to another stat different builds of characters require different stats for main abilities. for example clerics need wisdom it gives bonus to spell points controls spell power and healing abilities. clerics also can use charisma, witch gives more uses of turn undead... turn undead is a very useless skill in ddo, the useful part is clerics get other abilities that use turn undead uses to perform useful things like divine vitality or dv as it is called in game. it restores spell points to casters/other healers.

reading about each class is important step. and possibly picking one of the pre-defined lines for that class might get you in the game quicker and give an idea of how the stats work. and if your still confused ask me a more detailed question, i can get as specific as needed.

Gonna have to say there are some fucking useless adventure packs. Like devil's assault, never get devils assault because its fucking impossible even for a full group of lvl 9's

i do trades on kyhber you will have to find some one on the server your on that has plat for trade.

devils assault is one of the few quests in the game that goes up by more that one as the difficulty is increased, on easy it is well easy, but on a 3,6,9,12 scale or even 4,8,12,16 scale. makes it one of the more difficult quests in the game on elite. and is in fact avoided by just about every one.
useless, no, just rarely done and extremely hard.. any one looking for a challenge?
