hey pvp in ddo is meh, but there is some interesting pvp builds, evasion is a much, and ac dont mean jack shit, high end elite raids you need 90+ to not get hit, so it would make sence that other players can get past even that if they have high end raid gear. at lower levels pvp is more fun, though they dont distinguish lvls in pvp areas so u can have lvl 20s with lvl 1s
pallys do have the well rounded ness to excell at pvp - 2 rog, with a few lvls of pally add some fighter for bonus feats, something along those lines... u need at least 4 lvls pf pally for laying of hands, (insta heal ur self) ... i would do 2 rog 2-4 fighter and rest pally. just me
I've been toying with a 2rogue/2fighter/16 paly build but it seems I should drop fighter to get 18paly for massive saves.
From there I'm still looking at using a shield or not. How much of an AC hit would I take dropping to light armor or mithril medium? How much do I gain with high dex because I plan to avoid str and pump dex. Can evasion/dodge still be used with a tower?
My concepts for the builds are as follows. Maybe you can add some input.
32pt (Likely a Drow)
Str - Min (Weapon finesse to convert damage mod to dex, hence low str high dex)
Dex - high (weapon finesse + AC)
Con - med-high (All the rest I can afford to not put in dex/cha go here)
Int - min or (11)13 for combat expertise (using a +2 tome)
Wis - Min (Will saves converted to cha via 'Force of Personality'. Get a +6 item at 20 to be able to cast max level spells.)
Cha - High (Should I drop cha a bit for con? I don't know paladins all to well.)
2rogue grants me dodge and evasion.
Superior saves via high dex, med-high con, high cha (force of personality), and paladin.
Is 18 paly really significant or should I drop to 16 for 2fighter? I hear 18paly yield enormous saves, but i can't figure where.
