Honestly, learn to not get hit.

Alchemy really isnt worth leveling. You need to be level 50 to make any real amount of money, and the investment cost to get up there is 10m+

If you're struggling at survival with your mage.

Try a malemage, they have immortality.

I main a glacial master.

Basically, female mages are really difficult, because they are so squishy.

and honestly it's my first time playing the game

i have no clue what moves the bosses have that i run into

and usually it's hard to find parties at easy - medium difficulties when i do'nt have access to hard difficulty on my highest very first char

so no. your answer 'just learn not to get hit' doesn't apply.

i guess higher tier pots are not readily available. i'll just have to work around things somehow

Nothing wrong with starting another character, and rocking a few... I just made another today so I'm rocking 4 now.

Im a female mage summoner, its pretty much the most faceroll class.

Your pets tank for you and once you get "mark the target!" they have 100% dps uptime where other classes have to dodge mechanics and stop dealing damage.

I dont know what level you are now but I maxed Mana shield and ancient library so when I take damage (very rarely) it absorbs most of it.

If you like summoners in other games you'll like them in dfo.

im stuck though.. there's too many summons and not enough hotkeys... what do you do?

Yeah I had that problem until I realized that skills have button combinations to them as well as hotkeys. So for buffs I just use the button combinations and have all my hotkeys bound to summons. Mana shield is (down arrow- up arrow- space bar) and ancient library is (up arrow- up arrow- space bar).

I'm a big fan of summoners in most games so I tried Summoner, Mechanic, and Necromancer. I like the summoner the best though.

NB you can change many of your skill's "manual input" if you find it hard to remember.

I am playing a crusader as an alt and I find manual inputting buffs is easier since you only have to do it so many times. E.g. I changed it to "left + (skill2 key)" for one buff, "right + (skill2 key)" for another buff instead of doing like "left - right -left ...."
