I'm curious to hear if players believe blizzard will increase the legendary 4-5 star gems or % of drops / gamble % & increase the time-gated resources / materials in the foreseeable future for purpose of balancing out The P2W Aspects of Immortal.Diablo 3 originally had Real Money Auction House . The RMAH didn't work as intended in Diablo 3. Blizzard removed RMAH. Loot 2.0 was released months later to balance the terrible loot drop %. The loot 2.0 patch brought Diablo 3 back to life IMO.

Is there hope for Diablo Immortal or will be P2W End-Game Forever ?

They will eventually, but the patch will also contain even more powerful gems (6 star +?)

It'll always be a pay model, older gems made easier to get with the release of new stronger gems

Why would it change the mechanics?

all games follow a model of being able to obtain the p2w gear via playing once theres a patch to release a more powerful p2w option... its "power creep" or the prevention of it.

Casuals are happy with the game being F2P (myself included, just bought the $ 7 CAD battle pass)

Whales are happy that they can supercharge their power level

Game is working as intended, the neckbeards will keep seething since they can't no-life their way to the top anymore
