Of course skill plays a big factor, saying that 'you can't win unless you pay' is silly
But spending money still gives you an advantage, that's what the complaints are about. If two guys are on the same skill level, the whale has better odds of winning, does he not?
But that's just how it is in pretty much every game really. RMT'ing BiS gear on d2 won't guarantee that I'll win the duel, but the odds are better than if I hadn't RMT'd etc., that's what people mean by p2w

The difference is blizz is directly encouraging RMT in immortal whereas in other diablo games they're not - you have to go through third parties and shit, so blizz isn't responsible

But whatever, I'm glad to hear you're having fun and success despite not having spent a penny though, that's remarkable
