But Diablo Immortal makes Lost Ark look free to play.

I looked at the four videos I found online that tore this game a new arsehole for being P2W garbage.

Wow! So you actually have to play the game to get rewards? And you can't just pay and get everything you want? That's disgusting!

Compared to some games I've played, this game is still playable even without a single dollar spent. There are many mobile games I've played where you'll literally hit a spot where you cannot progress without upgrading via paid items.

Gems are easy to obtain, just play the game like any normal person would. Nobody expects to get x9 45 lifers in D2R, likewise getting all 5 star gems is not a necessary thing either.

All you people do is complain.

Well except the stars on the gem probably matters a lot in pvp, unlike 30 lifers vs 40 lifers in D2R which would not make too much of a difference

They probably do but how many people actually pvp in the game? Lol

The pvp is kinda fun actually. Only played one day but it's because I don't have too much time for it.

Try playing the free game before you make a post crying about it like a clown

The game itself is fantastic.

The pay model is pretty good IMO. The industry has moved past the buy to play model, and is now also moving past the subscription model.

Microtransaction model is superior as the player has complete freedom on how much money they want to spend on the game.

I think it's better than D3 actually, though that isn't saying much obviously haha. The MMO-approach they took with Immortal is way better for how silly/lighthearted D3 is. Every f2p game has whales dropping stupid money to get ahead of you, but the vast majority of players I've come across will pay up to the cost of a movie ticket or something lol (also how is this any different than d2jsp, just many years later?). It's also pretty cool to be able to play from anywhere with cell signal. I did a few runs with my friends while my wife was waiting on a food order and that felt worth it already.

Silly to compare this to a masterpiece like D2 imo, which I feel many players are doing at least subconsciously. This is a totally different kind of game fulfilling completely different gaming needs. If you aren't in the space where mobile games are useful to you right now, I totally get it. I can get on my PC less and less nowadays, so suddenly the market value in this household for portable gaming has gone up lmao
