So got a legendary reward From the free battle pass. It let me pick from 6. How can I change that legendary to a different one.

I saw shroud so it on stream. Selected his legendary and then turned it into a different selected legendary

I’m pretty sure that he extracted the power and then gave it to another legendary. But otherwise I don’t know what you mean? Imo I would always chose the legendary that I need - with power and stuff like that

Maybe you’re right. I had just randomly clicked him and watched for 2 minutes thinking that’s what he did.

Pick the one for your build. You can extract it and whenever you find a better weapon, equip the new one and go back and talk to the lady and change it back to the one you need.

Gotta extract it at that one lady merchant for the specific skill property. Extracting will destroy the object, but it will let you transfer (inherit) the skill property onto another Legendary via the same merchant.

Inherited items will have its appearance changed to whatever the new Legendary item is supposed to look originally.

You'll need to find another Legendary if you want duplicates of the same Skill Property (such as if you want to swap builds), since you can only inherit once before the saved charge is used up. You can extract over and over, it just comes at the cost of needing a new Legendary base each time you do so.

This and im level 55 and im starting to find duplicates of the same legendary now. Each time, they scale on level so the new base armor is almost always stronger but yes you can extract essence off the item (skill) and inherit it to your new armor. Each skill has to correspond with the same type of item. Weapon to weapon, chest armor to chest armor, etc.
Meaning you can't just have ANY skill enhancers possible. I stashed each Legendary until I found a duplicate of the same, and than i extracted the essence. I believe this can only be done once and you keep the essence and it's reusable as I've already changed around my choice of skill set a few times to find what I like best. Downside is like i said. You can't use a weapon skill on an armor piece.

So you need the second legendary up front?

You need a Legendary that you're using and one that you're extracting.
