Because it is pay to win and if you say otherwise your either ignorant of the mechanics or a troll.

Perhaps, "Pay to Compete" is a better phrase. You have zero chance of competing at a high lvl of pvp/pve leader boards w/o spending SOME $. You will never get close to the CR, Life, Damage w/o spending money to get Legendary gems 5*'s.

It would be like trying to tpk vs a fully geared godly char using a char geared with Charsi/Akara shopped gear. Any Whale will have more than double the CR, Life and Damage of the best F2P grinders, even if they play 40+hrs a week.

Unless Blizzard bridges the gap so 5* gems are attainable by f2p players, this game will be Pay to Win 100%.

So it’s exactly like every other mobile game out there. You can spend money & save time or get items if you want to be on the leader board or ranked or whatever it is, which 99% of the player base doesn’t give a fuck about, & plays the game anyway.

Gameplay 1/5 - Just spam 4 skills. Brain-dead.
Story 1/5 - Hey look King Leoric, again.
Graphics 2/5 - My eyes aren't bleeding.
P2W/Shop 1/5 - Has like 5+ currencies, whale or gtfo.

Overall - Would not recommend. Unless your mom's boyfriend has deep pockets.

I dont think pay to win is the real issue. I think its the fact that they just reskinned d3. If d3 was a better game, this would be huge. But unfortunately, d3 isnt very good. They took this long to release immortal just to play d3, its making me think d4 is a lost cause.
