So what is joining games going to be like? And how do servers work?

In d2 you can create or join a public game from a list. Max 8 people.

In d3 you pretty much auto-join a game with up to 4 people, or solo if no games exist.

I never really considered d3 mutiplayer as most people played 99% by themselves.

So how multiplayer is D:I and how does it work? Is multiplayer really limited to end game raiding and pvp? All else (leveling, grinding, MFin) pretty much solo like d3?

think of it like WoW, with servers, and thousands of people in that server. open world

Oh seriously?!?! So you log in and you are in "town" like Stormwind City with tons of people and you just walk outside town and start questing? That is awesome. I hated playing alone in d3... I play multiplayer games for a reason.

i believe so, i havent played beta or anything but have done some research. pretty sure you can just click on someone and invite them to your party if you wanted. but yes theres raids/dungeons/rifts.. also clans that cap at 100 people and you also have something called a ''warband'' which is more of a tight night group with close friends
