Do you understand what "F2P" actually translates to? It literally means "Free To Play". That means you can physically play the game, for free. You can play DI, without spending a penny. The game is playable. I'm paragon 38 and NEVER hit a paywall. NEVER. The only walls I hit were hard caps set by the game and those are NOT buyable to be released. The biggest whale that spends $100,000 cannot release the hard caps.

Games that allow you to directly buy powerups and penalize you for not doing so is pay to win. You have hit many many pay walls as f2p in d3m.

Don't ever play Runescape or you'll be even more upset. You can purchase Keys to buy EXP lamps and literally buy your levels. Fortnite, never played it, but you can supposably buy better guns and whatever.

Sorry to break it to you but the "p2w" is here and this generation. Game developers are trying to find ways to justify spending thousands and 100s of thousands to MAKE a game. They also are greedy and want to park a new Maserati in their mansion's 5 car garage.

It's the way things are and you either combat it by never playing it or their franchise EVER again or you can play it and just don't spend money on it. Hell no, Activision is a business after all. They have successful made the (unarguably) most predatory gacha game of all time and managed to get around laws with regards to loot boxes.
