p2w as a feature is bad for anyone who enjoys great games.. The model of creating the best game possible and allowing the experience to drive game sales will always result in better products. Hell, you can make a game experience good enough and people will keep buying it for decades ie Skyrim or D2. With a free p2w, the purpose of the game is not to be sold on it's own merit, but to create a competitive/progression experience that's frustrating enough to warrant spending money. It's not about the cost, people will happily pay for quality.

From what I've seen from dev updates D4 is a lost cause. The loot. Systems and all the other stuff. They are adding runes but no runewords... They act as gems. So clueless. Loot looks like d3 loot...

you can still enjoy a game, by yourself, paying or not paying. i dont get how it "ruins a game". let the franchise make its money. who cares. if you cant stand to see a pay to play game, DONT PLAY. its so simple. half the times i dont mind paying a little bit on a game because whats $5.99? I go to the gas station and buy a $10 lottery ticket and lose 90% of the time, so $1.99 and $10 is NOTHING. If you don't have money, thats a personal problem. Either play the game or don't. Companies have to spend alot of money and resources to create a "good game" and than they have to pay to maintain it. That isn't free. So if you were a true gamer, you'd support them.

But it’s free - then people complain about this and that. As I see the game, it’s mostly cosmetics and resources. But the resources are farm able. So yea your are totally right.

There is always the group of people who will find something to complain about. It will never be perfect unless it solely revolves around them and meets every demand they want. So far the game is very playable and I haven't spent a penny on it. I found a Legendary war hammer yesterday and I was so excited lol. Only reason I haven't spent money on this game is because my stupid google pay is requiring verification of my information and I've already submitted a ticket and it's been 2 weeks with no response. I need to find a number to call because this game I plan to pay into a little.

Make the best out of it. If you can't spend money, play it the best you can without doing so. I haven't spent a penny on it. Game is not hard in any form or fashion. I dont know what people are talking about "its unplayable without paying". What? I have yet to put a penny into it and I just hit level 37 and if anything, the game is border line too easy. Hopefully it gets unplayable because the most fun is the challenge into beating it.
