or they could just fix D2R so that PvP is fun like it was on LoD and add some more pvm content and give us at least one good game to shut us up

That would make D4 die. They knew what they were doing with D2:R. Planned obsolescence. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if D4 has P2W elements now that people have proven they don't mind it being in their games.

There will be cosmetics and additional stash tabs, things like that. And paid expansions released frequently.

Maybe, just maybe a starter mf set to buy, which becomes obsolete quickly. But I don’t even think the’ll go this far.

The bigger problem is that D4 will be a D3 clone, which was a terrible game. It’ll be a little bit better but not by much.
