If being the best is that important to you, spend your heart out. Go broke. Hopefully when you get off the game you still got something to show for it. (you won't) As long as you're happy in your virtual bubble, that's all that matters.

You can also choose to be broke and cry on the forums. See where that gets you, too. (nowhere)

I also bet you are enjoying the limit cap on legendary and other items you can drop per day. I mean it's not like grinding infinitely for items is the point of these types of games!

I'm sure they expected higher numbers. IMO Activision would have made more money had they not have attached the Diablo name to it.

"Diablo" will bring players but not money. Which they couldn't care less about.
