There's an official estimate out stating to be fully geared and maxed, it would cost around $100k. Imagine.

Diablo Immortal proved that many people have never played a mobile game in their life. Every mobile game is p2w, thats why its free. And no they dont get by, by just selling cosmetics, that isnt a thing in the mobile gaming world. Even ESO mobile was heavy pay to win. Mobile games is not even for the NA target to begin with. Mobile game targets the chinese/korean base where majority play mobile games. 99.9% of free mobile games all have a p2w aspect.

This is no different with what any other game is doing. Warzone has meta guns blocked behind battlepasses or near impossible tasks to unlock unless you own the actual game. EA with there ultimate team games to be able to compete, nba, fifa, madden. Valorant with locked characters, Rainbow six siege with locked characters, apex with locked characters. At the end of the day, if you want the best things right away, yes you can pay to unlock it all, if not, go the free to play route and grind it out. Not 1 game worth playing is not p2w in some sort of way.

guess who had all 5 star gems that you can pretty much only get by spending at least hundreds of dollars. He literally just ran through our entire team. with that big of a difference in pvp you know what kind of players are going to top all the leaderboards. Actually liked the game till I ran into pay to win player, its a huge gap.

The funny part about all this is that this game was mocked by the Diablo Community for it being a Mobile game and not a Console/PC title release.
Sure it's now playable on PC but it's still just a mobile game. From what I've seen it looks like a dumbed down version of Diablo 3.
So why are people so up in arms that it's Pay to Win? Who cares. It's not what the majority of the Diablo Community wanted anyways.
We got a Remastered Diablo 2 already released and Diablo 4 is in the works.

These video game companies know they can milk people for in game purchases all day.
Complaining about it isn't going to change the culture and protesting the game isn't either.
The people fueling these games and spending money clearly don't care about health of games and companies are making loads of money off them.
Gone are the days that games come at a retail price alone and everything is earned through playing.
