Microtransaction monetization has been the staple of phone games for literally over a decade now. How are people still surprised by this? Either the game is chalk full of cosmetics with obscenely low odds for whales to gamble hundreds of dollars into, or they get you by paying little by little for the convenience it provides.

I'm the opposite. Never spent a dime on d2 and had gg items due to when every ladder starts I would play it for a month or 2 then dump my fg into my NL pvp chars
