Because if people stop caring, this gacha mobile crap will soon spread across all platforms and will be the only games available. I can't put it any simpler than that.

I honestly don't see what all the complaining is about. The game is a mobile game. Name one mobile game that doesn't have options to spend money. I have spent maybe $45. Battle pass, few one time offer purchases. I am paragon lvl 25. It is a fun little time passer. You don't have to spend money to enjoy the PVE portion of the game. If you want to be a GOAT in PVP, that is where you start spending money.

Spent maybe 100-120€, but im also having my newborn son at home and can barely play other than on mobile devices these days. So its a welcome change - i enjoy the game for what it is. Ofc the freebies, the scaling of money spent > improvement ingame is a complete joke. But the first 100$ are worth way more progress per dollar ingame than the next 1k$ and 1k is still worth more per dollar than spending even more. With the diminishing return i dont mind spending some if im actually in the game for a few hours a day.
Im currently P33 Barb farming for my 4pt Set and improvements:)

Im more worried that d4 monetization will look similar… because this is a mobile game - its OK to be monetized like this (well not like THIS, but you get the point)… for a full price PC title i can only hope there is a minimum amount of ingame purchases actually giving an advantage/progress to players, else thats a killer for me

but to answer your question its because my friend left to farm some stone for our castle but he left the damn doors open and a bear walked in (they kill you)
and the sun came out (it kills you too because your vampires) so i had to quickly jump into my coffin and afk until the bear fucks off or something
