If I count how much I've spent on basic gems/combining my unbound basic gems, I probably would have at least 5k plat in the bank. If a Blood Soaked Jade is, let's say, 50k plat. That's 10 weeks maybe for the most popular gem in the game.

That's not including the potential for selling all the random craft gems you can get for Ati Runes and basic runes earned with normal crests. Yes, leveling it up will be expensive, but everyone else in the server will not likely have the same items either given the scarcity of it. So in the case of being top, it's not hard to be in the top 10% echelon even with less gear.

This is with f2p calculations too. I plan on paying 5 for the Battlepass, but as of right now I've earned quite a bit by just playing the game and power leveling via Temple Dungeon in Bilefen.

You can farm platinum by selling normal gems. Get the 300 plat per day via 6 temple dungeon runs, sell 1-3 normal rank 1 gems. You can get about 500-1k Plat a day. In about a month or two you could probably buy most 5 star gems in the current market.

which temple dungeon is this? Just the basic rift runs? And do you mean sell them at an NPC or on the marketplace? thanks

It's in Bilefen swamp map, closest to the main town. Gives 20 BP, easy to run. Run it 6 times, gives you a full daily activities. I usually do 2, salvage, do another 2, rinse repeat.

Sell the gems to the marketplace for plat. Level 1 gems will always have a market because it takes so many of them to upgrade up. Current rate for each gem is like 3-400 plat before fees. Not bad when you consider how many you use.

There will be a fair few select people who farm enough, even if its platinum, that will obtain everything that everyone is crying about within a few years. Than of those few, there will be 1 or some that spent a total of $0.00 on the game entirely. Want to "stick it to the man"? You so mad you cant get a stupid ass gem? Go play the game and don't spend a dime. Now you're really doing justice. Better yet, don't play? Keep it that way. We don't want these cry baby whiners polluting our community anyway. The ONLY people who are complaining are jobless or broke. That is honestly the true issue here and of course you're already too ashamed to admit it. If you make money and you got extra, who cares what you spend it. The only ones complaining about it are the ones who don't have it. Stop being a damn hater and go get yours or get off the game and go somewhere else. I have been playing this game since release, and unfortunately im not in the high paragons yet. I just hit paragon 15 and honestly grinding away at the achievements gets me logging in every night and grinding for hours just trying to do them. I've already got a clan made for myself to build from the bottom up (22\100 members so far: Soul Reavers; and anyone is welcome to join) My warband has long completed its camp and currently only really looking for VERY active members to join. I have a spot open in my warbands but It's mostly reserved for a few people I've played games with over the years. I currently have 7 members and at least 6 of my warband members are highly active willing to dungeon as a 4 man team and do anything and everything each other needs. There is SOOOOO much more to do with the game than worry about the "best" gem. I could care less who has what. Besides, you can go pvp with the best gems in the world and if your skill use is garbage, you're gonna get slammed by someone who's got better mechanics.

Yep. Got the 3k platinum I needed to make my clan. I didn't want to be a follower. I chose to be a leader. Got a nice warband of active players (were all over paragon now) and 22 members in my clan now. Had the tea party or whatever try to absorb my clan into theirs but I rather build mine from the bottom up. I just sold off all gems I find and than I will later use the platinum for better legendary gems. All in all, still spending $0.00. Thats my choice. The game is too fun to cry over a "gem". Like come on now. The community full of weak sensitive guys who never had anything go wrong in their life and suddenly they things don't revolve around them and their world is coming to a halt. Get up, get a job, and quit crying about a $4.99 battle pass. I've spent far more, for far less on all the games I played. You gotta remember half these dudes are 30 still living with their mother, working a fast food restaurant or jobless so suddenly when a game hits mobile and there is ANY option to buy ANYTHING, they can't no life the game playing 18 hours in mommys basement without being the "best in the world". Now someone with $5 can have a VERY MINOR advantage over them, despite the no life they put into it.

Exactly, I've played a bunch of mobile games in the last 12 years on iOS and Android, and there are far more predatory companies out there that did worse than this. Glu Games and Gameloft were notoriously bad with microtransaction heavy mechanics.

There was one zombie shooting game I played where right when you would run out of bullets, the screen would pop up right where your fingers were, and you would "accidentally" tap the refill ammo button which cost premium currency. It was that many more levels of effed up. It was certainly easier to download unlimited ammo modded Android APKs from Google since they were all offline games, but it just shows the extent of what can come out of mobile gaming if you're not familiar with it.

Once you understand how the in and out economy of a mobile game works, you just have to work around it to the best of your ability and time. I certainly don't agree with Pay2Win in any instance, but this is the payment model they've been doing for 12 years. Get used to it.
