Yes, as far as I am aware, a lot of Immortal's development is being done overseas. With that being said, they are still investing a LOT of money and work into the game with what part they do as well as advertising/marketing etc. Those resources would be far better used in other places at least from my albeit limited perspective.

I would much prefer D4.

I am in the cancel Immortal camp also. Mobile games are hard to control and not something I would play over a console game if I had a choice. Plus micro transactions ? Pass.

They still work on d4? Should cancel tbh it’s d3 2.0 (account bound items and all that garbage)

It's not what the fans wanted that were present on the blizzcon.

By and large, it's not what the fans want in general.

However, you're missing two crucial points:
1) it's what shareholders want, because microtransactions in mobile games are literal cash grab godesses that they'd be stupid not to milk
2) China is a gigantic country, and they are for some reason or another HUGE on mobile games. They have numbers, it's a gigantic market. They want this. And they'll bring blizzard a fuckton of money, see point 1)

It can be said about blizzard, but then again, it can be said about pretty much all companies these days: they don't give a hoot about what fans want. It's a very sad reality. But it's a very sad reality we'll have to accept, I'm afraid.

I thought it was in closed beta? i havent really kept track of its development being a mobile game and all. I'll try it out when it launches, but not really the type of thing im watching the clock waiting for it to get pushed to the apple store.

as for all the 'they should work on this instead of this' comments. thats not really how development works in any capacity, game or otherwise. they have a team dedicated to every project they're working on, so its not like d4 is being ignored if they continue development on diablo immortal.

I played the beta. It was surprisingly decent.

Set items are fixed to boss' so if you need that last peice you can do runs.

People ask if its pay to win. It likely is but I invested $60 and had everything I wanted. Basically the price of a game plus I get it all back for the real thing.

I just bought all the 90%off packs. Grind your quests. Guild up.

The 8 vs 8 capture the flag style pvp was ok too

Only 8 bounty per day not unlimited
