In the vast majority of meatball recipes I've found, it mixes meats; usually beef and pork and sometimes pork or reindeer.

Why are meats mixed? Why not just beef or just pork etc.? What benefit is there to mixing the different types of meats?

Thanks!

pork is often used to counter drier , gamier wild meats.

Meat texture differ, also pork is usually fattier, giving meatballs the juicy taste.
