so everytime i have ever cooked with or eaten pinto beans, kidney beans and many others they were either dehydrated or in a can.
i looked online and cant find an explanation for this.
so i guess this is just because of the shelf life?
i did find recipes for fresh pinto beans and stuff. it seems pinto beans come in a red pod kinda like a pea pod and i did find some people online that buy and sell fresh beans.
maybe im just stupid but it just seemed weird to me lol.
edit: yes i am aware it is easy to get fresh green beans and peas but that is not what im talking about lol.

my guess would be shelf life.
that was my conclusion. i thought somebody might know for sure tho.
i wonder if there is a significant taste/texture difference between fresh and dehydrated beans?

idk about taste/texture but im sure theres a difference
i know fresh beans are waaaay more healthy, all the nutrients and minerals get fucked in the dehydration process/canning
