bulgogi is fairly easy and safe for westerners too.

if you dont already have kimchi, don't make it this late.

im not sure how to spell it, but i grew up with meeyukgook, a seaweed soup.

denjangchigay is a soybean paste soup. i like it, but it's usually salty. you'll need to dilute it.

if you make any rice, make sure it's asian sticky rice (my mom likes japanese brands), not the american rice.

Kimchi isn't very bland but its very tasty
steamed pork is probably up his ally
kimbap is basically korean sushi
donkatsu is pretty simple and easy to make and very damn tasty :)
soybean sprout soup is also pretty tasty and probably something your father would enjoy
juk im not fond of but its also something very plain jane

you can buy premade kimchi it's not nearly as good as homemade but it's not to shabby.
