Can someone just list out all spices, or google me a list, that has all the basic herbs and spices and seasonings and what they typically go with? like:

Sage - Steak, pork. definitely not chicken
Rosemary - Chicken. definitely not steak.

etc etc.

I have a ton of spices but idk what goes with what.

Why don't you provide us with a list of your spices?

Yea, just look up some recipes for meals that you like that you've had at restaurants or elsewhere.

It can be hard learning how to cook with the technique of other cultures, but definitely worth it.

ive never seen sage with steak, and ive seen rosemary used with steak often.

Sage goes well with beef generally, so it would probably work with steak. Wouldn't be my first choice but it does work.

Whenever I make a beef stew I always like to throw a bit of sage in.
