I got a few Carolina Reapers from a guy at work and was wondering what recipes I could use them in.

Me and my brother split one to eat and we just about died from the heat. I only have 2 left, and don't want them to go to waste.

edit: also, if you know any websites on cultivating them / seed vendors, let me know! i'd love to grow some next season!

what ever you do decide to use to cook them try to balance the heat with something sweet if it super hot. Maybe roasted garlic or sour cream.

take one carolina reaper, cut open, remove seeds, slice into small pieces, take one piece per person and bite into it. prepare for a burn!

My chef brought in some ghost chilies a few weeks ago to see what we could do with them. I made a sweet, Kansas City style BBQ sauce and let the pepper simmer in the liquid until it was all finished. It was actually really nice. You still got a lot of heat from the pepper without it just kicking your ass.

if youve got a few whole ones, youve already got the seeds. (assuming they werent sterilized.) just set aside a bunch of the seeds to dry out and then google some directions on sprouting them and when to do it, etc.
