I recently made some curry and it was REALLY grainy and salty. I want to make it again, but I need a cheap and easy recipe. Ideas??

try that, the recipes are simpler than indian/thai curries and the taste can be milder. you can buy premade bars of it and follow instructions on the back.

Ok. Ill check it out next time Im at the store. Anyone else?? Do I need to cook the curry spice before adding other ingredients?

one of my friends made curry from scratch and said you needed to make a dark roux. not sure about anything else tbh.

to start a simple curry you just need (olive) oil, ginger, garlic, onions and the main ingredient (which gets added after the others are already cooked a bit)
to add flavour you can add your own spices like cardomom pods, cummin seeds, chillies and/or curry powder (added after the main ingredient)
if you want it yellow, the colour has to come from the curry powder you use or (fresh) tumeric

nope, you don't - at least not for indian/thai/malaysian/etc curry

there are premade powders for indian curry available, u just need to add water and some ingredients. depending on where u live u can find them, try googling for asian supermarkets in your area. those are really simple.
