my recipe is asking for Vanilla beam paste but since i didnt find either of Beam or beam paste
Can i still use the vanilla extract? or its gonna make a totall diff

and yes extract can work most times, but the amount could change.

Well the extract is a not about bean at all so i dont want to trash my whole recipe for a little thing =)

depends on the extract, is it genuine vanilla or one of the imitation ones?
but don't forget that the extract contains alcohol/water so you have to take that into account
if it's for a cake there should be no problem

They sell vanilla bean at Loblaws I know that forsure.

i dont have any close to where i live =(
the only one i know of is at the other side of the city and i cant really go there until 2weeks
