1/2 cup. finely chopped onion
1/4 cup. vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups. plum jam
1/2 cup. honey
1/4 cup. red wine vinegar
2 tbsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
Ginger and sweet go hand in hand. Plum jam and ginger makes a fantastic base for pork and chicken. I've even used it on a thinly cut beef steak as well.
