I have a jar of coriander seeds that I've never used... what does it taste like?

Note that coriander seeds and fresh coriander (cilantro) taste is different...

Coriander should take a boat, invite fennel and capers and sail away from all civilization. what a way to ruin a good meal

i dont really care. but i like it when its in a dish.

still dont understand why some people hate it.

i forget exactly, but its something to do with some people being unable to taste certain elements of the cilantro flavor, so it just ends up tasting like soap to them.
