I'm just wondering what some of you guys do to ramen to spice it up? What brand do you buy? Cup or package kind of guy?

Personally, I add a little bit of olive oil to my ramen while its cooking and only use 1/4 of the seasoning that comes prepared. I usually spray my ramen down with hot sauce after it's cooked.

Get shin ramen, the red package w/ the black cross writing. Cook the soup base in water until boiling, insert noodles. Add veggies such as kimchi, beansprouts, etc. Make it tasty w/ black pepper & red chili pepper flakes.

i like to make homemade ramen, with my own broth and i get ramen noodles from an asian store nearby. i like to put tender beef slices in it, an egg, leeks, spices, salt and pepper, other veggies and sometimes if i have shrimp i'll use it. i like to experiment, but anything spicy flavored i love.

I like to add store bought frozen meatballs, an egg and some green onions, sometimes napa cabbage/bean sprouts if I have them.

I only eat the Original flavor now days. One thing that is pretty good is making something like a stir fry out of it on the stove and add some of your favorite seasonings to it. You just soak it in water for 15-20 minutes or till soft, drain the water, then throw it into a frying pan and add seasoning as you go mixing it occasionally. Can even add vegetables and meat if you want.

These were my 4 go-to ramen snacks while in college

1. Shrimp Ramen noodles

Add tabasco sauce, red chili flakes, pepper, can't go wrong.

2. Just crack the bag open, add seasoning, and eat the noodles...it's like eating seasoned chips.

3.Cook Ramen noodles, drain waiter, add butter/garlic salt/italian seasoning/salt/pepper and you have some pretty good buttered garlic noodles.

4. drop them in the deep fryer, season.

Gotta have Cayenne Pepper (and lot's of it!) + Lemon juice in the beef noodles. Other than that i just tend to spice it based on what i'm in the mood for, it's nothing fancy.

Having a egg to it sounds interesting. I'm gonna do it next time i have ramen but i'm wondering, do you use a boiled egg or do you just crack one into the mix?
