fried calamaris? i usually make a mix (half and half) of corn meal and flour... just mix your calamaris (sliced) with this mixture, remove excess flour and deep fry at 340 for about 1 min- 1 min 30 seconds... put salt and serve right away with your favorite dipping sauce...

I remember watching a video where a lady put them into a ziplock bag to get an even mix on the calamaries.

Forgot the mix she used.

Depends if you're deep frying or pan searing. For the sake of this post I will assume you have a deep fryer.

Cut up the tentacles and tubes. Toss in a bowl of flour, salt and pepper. Pour into fryer basket and shake vigorously to remove all excess flour so you dont rape your clean fryer oil with floaters. Should take 40 seconds to a minute tops. Serve with an aioli.
