There is only one "unhealthy" ingredient in this, and well, the way I make it there's barely any of it.

A nice light tasty dish with room to improvise

All you need is:

Onions/shallots/leaks or anything in this family (diced)

Olive oil

Garlic (I'm a garlic addict, so I use a fair bit of this) dice these

Relatively any kind of noodle will work, however I prefer angel hair/spaghetti/linguini (whole grain, why not?)

Tomatoes (diced)

Butter (the unhealthy part)

Optional: chicken/shrimp/Italian sausage

I can't really give any quantities, as I cook to my own taste. With That being said, add the ingredients to your desired amount.

With that being said, here's how I make it. (keep in mind, when I make this it's for 4-6 people

In a large frying Pan, add about 1/8th of a stick of butter, and 1/2 cup of olive oil
Then add diced garlic/onions, work them around for about 1 minute
Add your diced tomatoes
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Let it simmer for 10-20 minutes

If you're cooking shrimp// chicken to add to this, I'd recommend cooking it In a a frying pan with a little olive oil and butter (season chicken to your liking of course) once cooked, add drippings from the Pan into your sauce

Serve over the pasta your most fond of, I prefer angel hair.

Grate some parmesan chese over for another level of flavor.

If ur interested in making this and anything is unclear or you have questions, dont hesitate to post or pm.

As I said before, I kinda ignored the quantities of ingredients as well, everybody's tastes are different
If you love tomatoes n garlic like I do, naturally you'll add as much as you see fit ;)

If you make this dish, feel free to comment :)

Side note: a lot of things can be added to this! I made this with chicken and spinach for my gf and my family, everyone loved it.

i make a similar pasta, but i add green pepper to mine, and dont use nearly as much oil or any butter.

i would approximate the amounts like this:

2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium green pepper, diced
4-5 large cloves of garlic, sliced thin
1 large tomato, diced
1 tsp marjoram
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
salt and pepper to taste

heat olive oil, sautee onions til soft
add pepper, sautee til soft
add garlic, sautee til fragrant
add tomato, sautee for a bit
when a good amount of liquid has come out of the tomato, add the rest of the ingredients. simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring now and then and adding water as needed if it starts to get too dried out.

i prefer linguine for it. you can also add chicken, or usually i serve it with baked salmon.

Sounds good but any pasta is unhealthy food. Too many carbs for me, yes even in whole wheat pasta.

are you on the keto diet or something? otherwise you should have 30% carbs iirc. simple carbs are to be avoided, ofc.
