Getting seriously bored of chicken/rice/salad , chicken/yams/salad.

Any recipes, meal ideas with high carbs/protein/ low fat?

Open to pretty much anything!

one of my favorites is oatmeal with fresh cut bananas and strawberries

sometimes i'll have my mother make me a giant batch of brown rice, white kidney beans, spanish olives and olive oil with some spices i can never recall

salisbury steak with sauteed onions, roasted potatoes, and brown rice (can be difficult, frozen salisbury steaks have an obscene amount of sodium)

whole grain crackers with sliced cheese, granola bar, and lots of fresh fruit for something that can be quickly prepared. some may not see this as a meal, though, but well enough.

i stay away from grain... the carbs in hydrolyzed protein isolate is all your body needs to help with muscle rebuilding.

ofc you could mix spinach into it.. or eat a spinach turkey lettuce wrap...
but grains are usually a treat, so are beans... cause beans are lectins which are bound and carried by sugar.

this is my usual diet (yes im forgetting a few but im really tired and need a shower so i am in a hurry)

Veggies: broccoli, carrots, spinach, onions, radish, and avocado.
Fruits: all bell peppers, all chile peppers, tomatoes, a banana, coconut and all berries... (try to stay low sugar with the fruits)
proteins: any meat (soy and lectins are off limits)
fats: tree nuts.. like almonds, hazelnut or macadamia... (peanuts are actually a bean so they are counted out)

i usually throw together combos of above foods a week in advance.
my post workout is usually a chicken breast with spinach or broccoli, washed down by a hydrolyzed protein isolate mixed in water.
you have a window of less than an hour after a hard workout where your body wants intake, so you can get away without using protein shakes but its just easier that way.

hope this helps

You should eat some simple carbs post workout such as dextrose, which has the highest glycemic index, or something that has good sugars in it post workout.

It's good for restoring glycogen that you lost during workout, which helps prevent your body from going to catabolic mode.

After that, your protein shake is good as well as a meal.
I only eat complex carbs pre workout, never post.

Four cooked scrambled eggs, two without the yolk.
Unless you can handle pure cooked egg whites (smells and tastes bad).
Meat of your choice.

fish + courgette rolls + dry-mash

nn butter in drymash, bit of olive oil and seasoning on the courgette, lightly seasoned fish. if you really need the creamy sauce stick with something like cream of mushroom and dont put too much and dont dip bread in the sauce

edit: lightly sauteed mushrooms are awesome too with a nice wine vinegar. cut the olive oil and just let it marinade in its own water content. serve with rustic bread
