Stir, but you don't need to do so regularly. If you dont, it won't cook consistently, and stuff will stick to the bottom, which will taste bad when/ if you stir it in. It won't be a pain to clean because it won't stick too hard. It will finish faster if you move it around after it's heated.
/e wow.. between finishing reading the page of notes I was on and completing the post somebody already answered. Typically aren't enough people in CA for that.
//ee If your concerned because you are going to leave your house just stir before you go and keep it on low- mid low.
