I have spent the past probably 2-3 months eating alot of spicy stuff (the spiciest stuff we have in my area is jalapenos though) and have built up a tolerence to most spicy things. As far as jalapenos go I have only had the pickled ones so far , I keep forgetting to pick up some from the store. Should be going today to grab some bananas so ill try and remember.
Anyway, anytime i try and eat Tabasco sauce It hurts my tongue. Not because of the heat, but for some other reason I'm guessing. It only does it to the very center of my tongue. It gets worse every time I try it and it has got to the point where even a bit on the tip of my finger makes it feel like I have a knife through my tongue.
So is there a chance I am somehow now allergic to to something in tabasco, or is my tongue just trolling me?
*edit* I did try some peppers about a week ago that were in the 10-15k scolville range supposedly and while they were hot, they didn't cause my tongue to hurt like that. Can't remember the name of em though. They were long skinny and a greenish brown :/
