I have been using some old hand-me-down kitchenware for a few months now. I was looking around online for a cheap starter cookware set (~$50-$100) and ran across this black friday deal @ macys:

I know very little about cooking/what to look for in a starter set. Can anyone let me know if this is a decent set? I'm not looking for anything super fancy; just something that is useable for a novice cook such as myself. :P

Thanks in advance!

Not bad. They will be decent for a bit, then start to break-down. I know from experience from buying "cheaper" pots and pans. The black coating on the inside will eventually start to flake off and get in your food.

Alrighty. I was just looking for a starter set to last me a few years. (I don't cook too often and do alot with crockpots) I just placed the order :)

Never buy non-stick pans. You won't have problems.
