what kind of sandwhiches do u eat?

of utmost importance, i think is the bread. i just buy cheap whole grain bread, $3 loaves.
but im willing to spend more for better quality if u guys know a good one.

the normal sandwhich i eat is sorta italian inspired.
1) spread bread with - pesto, mustard and thousand island
2) veges - essential are tomato, onion, avocado and leafy vege. the avocado makes the sandwhich fatty enough to enjoy without meat.
- other things i add if i have them are olives, mushroom, cheese, sun dried tomato, cilantro
3) once u have that all together, drizzle with 1 tsp red wine vinegar, a few dashes of oregano, and a few cracks of black pepper. a little oil if u dont have enough fat.

a mediterranean variation of this sandwhich is to use hummus instead of the fats like avocado, thousand island and cheese. complete protein!

i also love vietnamese banh mi and can't wait to try making my own. it looks very simple to make, though the ingredients are a little exotic.
i'd use ciabatta or french bread. pickled carrot/radish, cucumber, mint and cilantro, with a good squeeze of sriracha.
the meat of choice would be roast pork and pate. or fried tofu as a sub.
heres a recipe if ur interested.

i do peanut butter and banana once in while.
tuna salad without tuna isnt bad. mix onion, celery, dill relish, mayo, mustard and black pepper. tomato, avocado, lettuce if u have it.
eggplant parm is a great filling breakfast sandwhich if u made some the night before. so quick and easy.
thanksgiving leftover sandwhiches are so good.. it probly tastes good w/out the turkey. stuffing, mash potato, gravy, cranberry sauce? needs a crisp..
i miss pastrami the most out of all the sandwhich meats i think.

anyone remember eating ketchup sandwhiches as a kid? lol

never ate a ketchup sandwich sorry :(

i do enjoy
prime rib sandwiches w/ au jus  <-- one i usually get i believe is on slightly toasted rye bread and i usually just get it bread + prime rib.
and burgers dripping with a spicy sauce, jalapenos, and some pepperjack cheese all between a fresh hardroll

other people in my family love raw beef sandwiches.
buttered bread + raw beef + salt/pepper/onions to taste

Making banh mi sandwiches for dinner tonight. Marinated grilled pork with homemade pickled carrots & radishes, nuoc mam cham, curry mayonaise, and lettuce on mini baguettes. Mmmm...

roast beef!

fresh italian bread, lightly toasted. layer the roast beef on a pan or griddle for about 30 seconds, top with white cheddar cheese and cover to let it melt. a sprig of thinly sliced red onions, a healthy amount of arugula, and a sandwich spread consisting of mayo, dijon mustard, and horseradish mixed together.

It's delicious! :)
