I've tried making lemonade before
I would get the squeezer and get all the juices
Then I would add water and sugar and try to get a good mix

It never tastes good.

I love Middle Eastern style lemonade. It uses honey as the sweetener and adds rosewater or orange blossom water for flavor. I've replicated one I liked at a restaurant at home, so adjust to your taste as this isn't really a hard and fast recipe. Basically, you will want to make a simple syrup out of the honey so it will dissolve in water. Boil equal parts honey and water until honey dissolves. The general proportions are about 4 water:1 lemon juice:1 syrup. Then add about 1T of rosewater or orange blossom water per pitcher (again, to taste). Good stuff.

When you make your lemonade, I would highly recommend making the sugar into a simple syrup and then mixing it.

You'll get a much greater result.

First, what doesnt taste good about it? Is it too sweet, or too sour? Or taste like plain water?
That usually is the problem with lemonade- there really isnt a fixed proportion of how much of what ingredient you really need since everyone has their unique tastebuds.

I can see where you are coming from.
It's more complicated than just adding a certain ingredient to balance things out.
I'm not sure how to describe it.
It tastes 'flat' but sour
Even after adding lots of sugar, it still tastes this way.
So I'm not sure.

Like for example, hot dog on a stick lemonade is super good.
No idea how they get it so good.

If there is too much water, it could result in such a taste. Like if you are making a pitcher of lemonade and only put one lemon- that isnt going to get you much taste.
I dont make lemonade too often, but I would use 1 lime, 1 table spoon of honey, and about 350 ml of water.
