What kind of flavors do you like? I work at a Chinese Restaurant (PF Changs) and I could tell you any of there sauce recipes.

A basic sweet and sour sauce would be...

Ketchup
Vinegar
Sugar
Water
Cornstarch for Thickening
Ginger Root Steeped in, Removed Later

For a general tso sauce...

Vinegar
Sugar
Chili Paste
Garlic
Green Onions
Rice Wine (Sake)
Water
Cornstarch for Thickening

I'll get exact measurements when I can, but those are the ingredients for the ones at PF Changs.
