The canned stuff really is crap. I'm gonna research chili recipes.

... This thread is now about building the perfect chili dawg.

Suggestions?

depends on your chili preference imo, if you like it more thick, thin, spicy or not

Yeah. I like chili with beans if just eating chili.

For dogs I like it without beans.

.. I'm thinking cheddar cheese is best.

I know this isn't pard, but now that you mention it I thought our foreign policy was to force hot dogs down the the throat of allies and enemies alike.

Well dogs are everywhere in the world... here in quebec it's a staple food too, not just the chili version...

I usually make chili dogs with leftovers whenever I make Cincinnati chili. I prefer chili dogs with no beans, too--just chili, diced onion, and shredded cheddar cheese...oh--and hot sauce. I use this spice mix and doctor it up with some extra cinnamon:

It makes a pretty good Cincinnati chili--5 way, of course.

I've had hot dogs ofc, one of my favorite meals to cook on a hungover-sunday :lol: just never Chili dogs.

One very popular meal in Iceland is "eina með öllu" which basically means "one with everything" and is a hot dog with everything on which is;

Fine-sliced yellow onion
Roasted onions
Ketchup
Mustard
Remoulade

And something else that I'm forgetting.. anyways that's delicious

Still iso a good chili recipe ;)
