I see theres a few people that know food, and alot that like food.

After reading some of the threads i cant tell a few are serious chefs and could understand the dish if they just read the menu description and recipe

Since we only have text.. I think we should post a recipe and let 5 predetermined judges vote on it (we may need 6-7 in case judges want to play too)

what I'm thinkin is either Iron Chef rules (use 1 item in 3 different courses)

or Chopped Rules (well give u 2 ingredients per course)

For this competition, you'd need to be good with your tongs, and good with your pen. Menu writing and the food pitch is an art in itself, the correct use of adjectives, the explanation and detail of technique all would factor in impressing the judges

There could be a thread for every battle, and we could have league rankings lol

i think it could catch on, lmk if u guys have any foodback

The word explosion makes me think applebees
It better be aldente and warm so Nn those words
Pepper jack Mac would be simplified menu item and by listing the recipe I'd kno the cheese and or peppers u used

Mac and cheese can be gourmet

I've made fried lobster macaroni, make with fontina or a melting mild cheese add sm. dice red pepper, large chop a blanched lobster, Chill on sheet tray, once cold cut into triangles and u can deep or pan fry them and use as a base for entreeheight or on the side

My fav Mac n cheese is shells with alfedo, caramelized onion and extra bacon. Top with shaved parmesean andbroil, garnish with chive ez winning mac

Any up for a test battle?
