A weekly cook-off, a fun competition between 2 or more members joining. A judge would select one recipe that everyone can agree on, and everybody makes it to the best of their ability. Obviously since flavor cannot be judged, plating and visual appeal would be one of the the deciding factors. Basically it'd be a fun way to get people involved and inspire them to cook at home. We need to designate some professionals in the forum with enough knowledge to be considered the judges to go to.

It'd be cool, but how exactly would it work? I mean, first thing would be finding the people qualified to judge it, and keep in mind, anyone can say they are anyone on here... then we would have to figure out if it's just for fun, or if it will be for FG. If the contests DO have a prize, who is offering the prize, etc etc...

It probably wouldn't be for fg just for fun, and very informal.

As for judges, I'm also going to gather information about those in the food service business (for example, I cook in a 4 star restaurant)

It doesn't have to be super intense and fancy, you could say like "whoever comes up with the most creative way to make Mac and cheese
