I agree well done steak is not good. I like medium rare personally. I've had expensive high quality steak with just salt n pepper and I've had it seasoned and maranited..I liked it both ways. Funny reading about people arguing about what to put on a steak..to each their own lol if you don't like it don't do it. :)

Still feel like if you're eating a high end steak that the only seasoning that should be touching it is salt to taste beforehand and pepper after its off heat.

I will say though that some of these seasoning ideas do seem tasty for lesser cuts of beef, especially those involving fresh garlic.
