i bought two 10 gallon new oak barrels

going to make some whiskey and some beer.


going to age the whiskey in 1 and the beer in the other then switch them at 6 months and let them age for another 6 months


well see what happens i guess

good luck. What are you going to try brewing? also what is the thought behind switching them at 6 months?

My thought would be the whiskey may take longer to age - also, it may be helpful to taste your brew every now and again to make sure it doesnt get an overpowered oak flavoring.

im going to do a imperial stout


also, because ive never seen any one do it before lol

ive seen people take beer and distill it and thats good so well see what we get
