my favorite beers are stouts and porters, i like heavy, thick beers with high abv, but i also enjoy sours and the occasional session ipa. im not a big fan of imperial or double cram as much hops into it just for the sake of doing it ipas

heres a few that i recently had

also, got my black tuesday on order!

Maybe get it tests just so u know the pH and everything in it.

Maybe can boil it before u brew with it. The whole foods usually has like crazy DI water if u want to try that.

Also check the yeast your using. Is it a pack or dry?

I'm Currently using Nottingham yeast i add the yeast into 100ml of water at 86F and let it set for 15 mins before pitching it

Still havent been invited to hoarders and max out most of the good shit.

I joined rare barrel last year, renewed this year. Between those two and lost abbey releases I get tapped out and have more than enough that hasnt been opened yet

yeah one of my best friends wifes grew up with one of the owners, so we go up there regularly and get free/limited shit

according to who?

the first one is a Porter, which is a...... say it with me... beer.

the second one is a American Double / Imperial Stout, which is a..... say it with me!!! BEER!

and finally, the last one is a Old Ale, while surprising, is also a beer.

The guy is dumb koj, barley wine is just high abv beer.

And God damn, 19% abv?

Pretty decent double IPA I found..

I've had better, but this one has a really nice dry hop after taste.

I've always understood the only difference is the alcohol content.. Either way, i went to a local brewery last weekend, they didnt haveBrewDog Tactical Nuclear Penguin, bUT they were showcasing all the expensive beers.. They had Dogfish Head ChocLobster, which was incredible, but was 80 bucks for a growler.. Like an oyster stout, but with lobster.

Still working on my DBB Schwartz Lager, not sure what to work on next.. Thinking about maybe getting some Scotch or a bottle of pappy..
