Saw some of the seasonal stouts at the store yesterday, didn't get all I wanted but I did grab a sixer of Bell's expedition stout and Founder's Breakfast stout.

2 solid beers. I havn't cracked a breakfast stout yet this year but expedition is great. About to try muddy waters and I just picked up cinnamon beer-d o's too!

Volunteered to pour yesterday for my areas Good Beer Festival.

Was pouring Flying Dog, they brought a few new ones I never tasted.

The Fear - seasonal pumpkin imperial ale. One of the best I've ever had, the notes of the spices were stronger than the pumpkin taste. Cinnamon and Nutmeg were the two most standout flavors of the beer.

Blood Line - Blood orange ale. I felt was a perfect middle ground IPA. Almost overwhelming flavors of citrus, but the sweetness perfectly cut the bitterness.

Going back out today, this time to drink.

Found a few bottles of Stone's latest enjoy by at giant eagle earlier tonight, they were sold out at the bottle shops I usually go to like first day or two.

Only bought the one since I was disappointed with the last, wish I had bought em all though. This one was amazing, incredibly tropical fruit smell and taste with a nice bitter bite to round it out.

Just came back from Chicago and had a ton of great beers with a buddy. My favorite was bourbon county proprietors stout. Also had 2013 and 2012 alesmiths speedway stout. I tried pliny the elder the first time as well and it was very good. It reminded me a lot of kuhnhenns DRIPA. I'm really jealous of the selection there... michigan gets some decent beers but I was blown away by how much the stores have.
Also stopped a revolution brewery and that place was awesome and huge. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you are in chicago

Picked up two seasonal brews today.
First one is an old favorite, bell's special double cream stout.
Just a very drinkable smooth semi-sweet stout, its like creamy smooth milk chocolate, and vanilla with a light roast (think mild coffee) finish.
Very nice beer, i'm practically chugging them i'm enjoying it so much, on my 4th and I usually drink 1-2 beers a night.

second beer which I haven't tried yet but am very eager to try is founder's dark penance. I trust founder's brewery, and I like the black ipa style so i'm excited about it.
