Any black and tan fans out there? I'm getting put in charge of picking out beer for a work event and some said they would like the idea of black and tans. I was looking for a stout and a pale ale that are both good on their own but also combined

Was looking for other than Guinness

Samuel Smith organic chocolate stout with a nice pilsner, maybe a Oskar Blues Mamas Little yella pils.

Evolution lucky 7 porter and Evo summer session is delicious too.

I enjoy making high gravity libations as well.. A nice ESB mixed with a Bourbon makes a sick drink called a bitter bastard. Also one I made is Fat Tire with Wild Turkey American Honey, I call it fat turkey. A really good one is Abita Purple Haze and a shot of Grand Marnier.

Kuhnhenns had a mead release the other day, and they were releasing their Bourbon barrel banana bochet french toast mead. I got there a half hour early and they sold out instantly, so i did not get a chance to get one :(  they had a blueberry and creme mead on tap and I dont drink mead very often, but holy hell this was amazing.  Anyways, they had a few bottle releases too, 4pk of 4th Dementia for $30 and 750 mL bottles
of 9 (its a belgian strong ale) for 15 apiece.  Picked up a few of the 9's but have not tried them yet..
Also, just picked up a new Founders beer, Dissenter. It is an Imperial Pale Lager, which I am not too familiar with so that will be interesting.
During the mead release, they were doing some brewery tour and I sort of hopped in it. Best decision ever, they had tons of samples in the back and gave us all our own Kuhnhenn logo glass haha.
I have been buying a LOT of beer lately and I have not had enough time to drink them all...
Does anyone on here ever trade beers?

ive traded with a few people, i have one guy in colorado i trade with regularly, he gets me the barrel series from avery, and crooked stave releases.

havent tried any meads from kuhnhenn though...im not really a mead fan

we usually send a box of 12 to make shipping worth it.
average is usually about 12-22$ based on weight.
if you make a fedex account and print your own labels it gives you a bit of a discount.

i like sours and i cant get the stuff he does, he goes to releases and gets me a couple of each. i do the same for breweries he likes out here in cali and we both end up pretty happy. as far as shipping goes we kind of just eat the cost. but as far as the beers go, usually $ for $. say he spent $100 to fill up that box, i would send him $100 of beer as well.

hes gotten me extras and i just paypal him too. once you find someone that you regularly ttrade with theres some trust involved.

actually planning on trading again towards the end of this month as we both have enough beer weve been saving for each other to send another box.

thats how it usually works. id be up to trade with you but i only get home about once a month from work, if youre looking for ipas they wouldnt be too fresh once i get home, unless they are available once i am home. what are you looking for?
