My little sister microwaved an egg once. It exploded in her face and she had 3rd degree burns!! Poor girl. Luckily no scars! I wouldn't recommend this

You can microwave them in a little dish of water, but watch over it

One time had a few coworkers microwave like 5 at a time for 4 minutes and the microwave literally lifted off the counter flung the door open and exploded everywhere, smelled horrible too.

I've never tried it... it seems kind of like a disgrace for the egg. Haha.

With the huge salmonella outbreak, I don't recommend this.

I assure you that salmonella cannot survive a microwave.

it works if you do it right... if the yolk is too in- tact it will explode, thus creating a huge mess in the microwave.

I do this a lot. I crack an egg into a container/bowl with water. Put it on for about 2 minutes and you get a half boiled egg, which is perfect for udon noodle soup.

It's not dangerous, nor is it more likely that you will get salmonella cooking eggs that way but the eggs turn out pretty rubbery.
