no butter on the roll, though i cook them in a small amount of water, once most the water boils off i add a bit of butter and finish frying the dog up till it starts to split. afterwards theres this buttery hot dog juice in the pan that i give the hot dog a good roll in before putting it in the bun adding a nice savory flavor.

One day when I was sick, my mom made me a hotdog and spread mayo in the bun and put ketchup on top of the hot dog, it was delicious!

Never butter though, no.

I like melted butter on tortillas. If I'm out of hot dog buns and use tortillas as a replacement then yes.

I think the mayo/ miracle whip as a hotdog condiment is fairly normal.
