lol sometimes you're about as smart as a 5 year old. Hidden cam is a very small cam that people can hide easily like in glasses and record other ppl without them noticing it. They do this on tons of TV shows..

cuz dumb...same in Australia though...i was a delivery driver at pizza hut and i would be pissed if i didnt get tipped

No, because everyone gets pretty well money anyway, even minium wage is pretty good.

You'll be more acknowledged if you just use a platinum card vs using cash

I just write the tip down in the credit card or leave it on the table if I'm paying cash. If there's a tip jar at a register I'll put it in there.

It's not a matter of confidence. I just think it's a little too self-serving to hand the tip to the waiter in person, especially if they're busy serving other people. The tip you're leaving is for them, not for you.

Besides, actions speak louder than words. Thanking someone for their great service and just leaving a dollar for a $15 meal is likely much less appreciated than a 20-25% tip that's quietly left on the table.
